Alkara's London based designer, Camilla Daubeney says "It is never enough that our products look good, they have to function as beautifully as they look. In keeping with our love of working in pewter, which we use on each of our bags, we also design pewter paperweights, pewter salt & pepper sets and a variety of high quality laquerware with pewter animals - which make great gifts.  Each piece is individually made by Alkara's talented craftsmen in Fair Trade workshops, meticulous attention being paid to every detail during all stages of production to ensure superior quality.

Over the years we have donated large amounts of money towards the various charity events that we have attended.
